Book 13: City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare

Book 13 of 2013 is City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

This is the second book in the Mortal Instruments series. And the story line continues to follow Clary on her journey through the Shadow Hunter world as she tries to find her place in it all. I know, I know, lame Synopsis but if I tell you to much there shall be spoilers so deal. 

I really liked City of Ashes but I've been in a sort of reading slump so it took me FOREVER to read this book. But when I finally just sat down and finished the second half I really liked it. There were a couple twists in the story that surprised me, the writing could be better but I hear the writing progressively gets better through the series, and The characters are great!  I thought the ending was a little bit lacking. But Overall it was good. And I'm definitely going to be picking up City of Glass. I would recommend this series to anyone.

Book 12: Hot Gimmick Vol.4-6 - Miki Aihara

Book 12 of 2013 is Hot Gimmick Vol. 4-6 by Miki Aihara

This is the second omnibus of the Hot Gimmick Series which contains Volumes 4-6. This continues the life of our main character Hatsumi Narita and her  rather unique complications throughout her High School Days. I cant tell you to much without giving it away.

This series is really growing on me. Again I read these right after the other omnibus which was a couple weeks ago so this isn't all that fresh in my mind. But I really like the way the story is developing it keeps me reading it, The art is beautiful, and The characters keep you reading and laughing. I know this is a rather lax review but I cant tell you all that much without spoiling the story. 

Hot Gimmick Omnibus Vol.2 get 4 out of 5 stars. 

Book 11: Hot Gimmick Vol. 1-3 - Miki Aihara

Book 11 of 2013 is the Hot Gimmick Omnibus Volume One by Miki Aihara

As you can tell from the art on the cover this is a Manga. And It takes me maybe an hour or two to finish one manga of normal length. So I'm going to count this series by the omnibus's instead of by each volume since there so short. This manga follows the main character Hatsumi Narita. She is a High School student living in company housing because of her fathers job. The story starts when her childhood friend Azusa comes back to the housing complex after moving away in primary school.

I'm not sure how much I like this manga. I keep reading it. and I like it for the most part. But I feel like allot of something is missing. And unfortunately this isn't fresh in my mind because I actually finished theses mangas a couple weeks ago and forgot to post about it. I know I'm sorry bad blogger. But over all I like it. I was given almost the entire series so why not read it. I would recommend this to others. But I would say no one to young seeing as there is some 'content' in it. But honestly you have to expect that with pretty much any manga. 

Hot gimmick Omnibus Vol.1 gets 4 out of 5 stars
