My Second book of 2013 was Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl.
Beautiful Creatures Follows our two main characters Lena and Ethan. Ethan has been having these dreams about a girl hes never met for weeks and suddenly one day at school she's in his English class. He decides he need to get to know her and in the process find out that she is a witch or as Lena and her family call themselves, a Caster. But in Lena's family on your 16th birthday your powers are claimed for the dark or the light and you have no say in the matter. Ethan falls head over heels in love with Lena and tries to help her find a way to choose for herself before her 16th birthday arrives.
I have to admit I only picked up this book because there is a Movie that's in theaters now. I was at the Premiere of The Hobbit and thought it looked kind of interesting so i got it on my Kindle and started reading. I have to say this wasn't the best book I've ever read. The writing was a bit lacking. But it really wasn't that bad. It definitely captured me enough that I was invested in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Paranormal Romance type books.
Beautiful Creatures gets 3.5 out of 5 stars!
