My Third book of 2013 was Insurgent by Veronica Roth.
This is the second book in the Divergent Series so i cant really divulge to much without spoiling the entire plot for people who want to read it. (YOU SHOULD! These books are amazing) So I'll just give you a vague plot of the first book. This series takes place in dystopian Chicago and follows a girl named Tris. In this new dystopian world there are five factions. Candor (For the Honest), Dauntless (For the Brave), Erudite (For those who seek knowledge),Amity (For those you seek peace), and Abnegation (For the selfless). When you turn 16 you must take a aptitude test to see what faction best fits you. Tris is born into Abnegation and this story follows her through finding out who she is and the choices she has to make in her new faction.
I LOVE these books! Veronica Roth is a genius and these books are definitely up there in my top ten list now. I would and have strongly suggested these to everyone around me or anyone who will listen. Pick it up as soon as possible! You will not regret it. Unfortunately the third book in this series doesn't come out till October 23rd. That's not that far away right?! *sobbing*. There's also a film adaptation coming out sometime 2014 but I'm a bit skeptical. Only time will tell.
